Hi friends,
Sorry it has been a while since I last posted- I have been silly busy and frankly a little emotionally exhausted lately. I'll write more later, but for now, here are some highlights from the past few weeks.
A quick visit to Evanston- I had a rough week at work (a kid hit me) and it had been a while since I'd seen Chelsea so I went up to hang out for a little bit.

BUILD Annual Dinner- It's a huge fundraiser/celebration for Build. This year it was at Soldier Field in the United Club, the fancy level. Tickets were.... well over my earnings for the month, but that made it a great fundraiser! The pep squad performed and 3 high schoolers gave speeches sharing their stories. There was also tons of artwork, photography, and jewelry created by our youth that attendees could buy. I helped at the event by ringing people up when they purchased stuff made by our young people.

I took these pictures last week to give you an idea of what some of my days look like. There's no such thing really as a typical day for me (which I love) but here's a glimpse of my work life lately.

| Our 6th graders are making "Assemblage" Sculptures (inspired by artist Louise Nevelson) out of old scrap materials. |
